And Now Ireland

{Posted by Doodad}

'Ireland most hostile country in Europe'

Foreign Ministry accuses Irish government of inciting against Israel. Dublin City Council sponsors display presenting IDF soldiers as 'Nazi troops' abusing Palestinians Hatred of Israel reaches new levels in Ireland: An outrageous anti-Israel display was held over the weekend on Dublin's main pedestrian street, presenting IDF soldiers as Nazi troops. As part of the display, sponsored by the Dublin City Council, a group of pro-Palestinian activists set up a model of the separation fence and an IDF roadblock.....

"The Irish government is feeding its people with anti-Israel hatred," an Israeli official argued. "What we are seeing here is clear anti-Semitism."

Europe is once again becoming a cesspool of antisemitism. Or maybe staying is a better word.

You know I watched a PBS program last night called ‘Elusive Justice: The Search for Nazi War Criminals.’ Maybe if some of these idiots were forced to watch REAL Nazi horrors we wouldn't see these horrid comparisons again. On second thought, it probably wouldn't faze them in the least.

  1. Exactly. Sucks to be Irish and antisemitic. My sympathies to the sane Irish. Maybe some of you could, you know, say something about this. I know you are out there sane Irish.

  2. Oh, and btw, Pacino's in Dublin has some of the best pizza I've had anywhere.

    In case anyone reading this happens to be in Dublin!

  3. Lots of tough talk here from a government who failed to stand up to the actual Nazis. Who looks at WW2 and says 'gee, I'm going to be neutral in this one'? Also, in spite of that supposed neutrality, Eamon De Valera sent condolences to the German people upon the death of Hitler but did no such thing for Americans upon the death of FDR.

    I'm all for letting sleeping dogs lie, but if Irish elected officials are going to start down this demonization of Israel route, their nation's past is fair game.

  4. Hey, I see that you've been reinstated at the GOS.

    Did you ever find out why they briefly banned you to begin with?

  5. Yes, the happenings in Europe are troubling on so many levels.

    We see how Europeans behave when the situation disintegrates. They make Americans look virtuous.

  6. Do you suspect more of this crap as Europe does "disintegrate?" I know there is some huge antisemitism going on in Greece from what I read.
